The story behind this painting is about all about living life, making mistakes and finding courage to start over and embracing hope. The foundational layers of this piece are bright in its colours, wild and bold. This represents the destiny that was placed in one's heart from the very beginning of his or her existence. As life unfolds and mistakes are made, regret and repentance (symbolised by the copper leaf) follows and a new start can be made. The white layers of oil paints washing away the old and a new pure and white state of being is reached.
